1001 Uses

Our youngest daughter has plantar warts.  The doctor told us to put duct tape on them, and they'd go away.  Who knew?

Oh, how wild! (That is a far better sounding cure than the one the doctor gave me when I was a girl.) Hope they heal quickly.

I've used Duct tape to repair everything from tupperware to pinatas. But never human skin, until last night...

My brother has testified to this method. Of course, he is a devout Christian, I'm not sure how important belief is...

Evidently, Jesus is to Original Sin as Duct Tape is to Warts.

It's supposed to work quite well as long as you can keep the wart(s) covered with the duct tape for up to a few months. Hopefully they don't cover a large portion of her foot. If it's meant to starve the wart of oxygen, wouldn't it do the same for the healthy tissue around it?

Because nobody's said it yet: Duct tape is like The Force. It has a light side and a dark side and it binds the universe together.

I've heard about the wart thing, but never directly. Cool. :-)

Hil, we're in overkill mode at this point. Tried freezing, salicylic acid, and burning already. It's on the run; hopefully the tape will hasten the pace.

Gordo, you can now but duct tape in designer colors! Yellow, pink, red. Costs 10 times as much as the gray kind, of course.

Never heard of it either, SA. It's a weird world.

...duct tape? Who knew... indeed.

I'm rarely without words but you've got me at a loss here.

Good luck with it!

This just in: the wart has fallen off! 22 days later. The lesson here: duct tape works, but very slowly.
