Death By Unicorn

A fast, funny clip from The Abominable Dr. Phibes, a weird and very campy Vincent Price movie from those crazy 70s. I saw this at the drive-in (it's shocking how many of these movies I first saw at a drive-in) with my sister and her boyfriend. They were not amused that they had to drag me along. I, on the other hand, was delighted. They kept disappearing for long stretches to "go to the snack bar," but inevitably returned empty-handed. Just shocking.

There is an equally good sequel: Dr. Phibes Rises Again. If you have Netflix, you can get them both on the same disc. A Halloween double-feature!

Ooh. Splendid. It's kind of like a cross between Monty Python and The Avengers.

BWAHAHAHA! Oh, I have to find that. :-)

I love that Diana Rigg (of The Avenger's Fame) was in the first! Yum!

Wow indeed, Eric.

Maggie, unicorns are Satan's lapdogs. But don't tell my girls. They'll cry.

It is bad that you laughed, Meno. Clearly, you are going to heck.

Daze: it does play much like an Avengers episode. And Diana Rigg is in it (I didn't now that til Irrelephant told me)! This is the double feature I'd recommend you and the things watch on Halloween.

It's a really good movie, Gordo. Trust me and rent it.

Irr, I did not now that. Too bad she's not playing Vulnavia. Now that would be cool. Plus, I love the name Vulnavia.

I did even better, Clowncar: we were buying goodies for the goblins last night and what should I see sitting on a shelf, but Dr. Phibes on DVD. For $5, how could I resist?

Good for you, Gordo! Let me know what you think.

Hmmmmm...I seem to have lied, CC--IMDB doesn't list her in either the first Dr. Phibes or in Dr. Phibes Rises Again. I thought for certain that was Diana Rigg. Gonna have to go buy my own copy and watch it again, I was certain that Vulnavia was Mrs. Peel!
